I downloaded it just today after we talked and I could only imagine one profitable use for it as soon as I saw it but some things can only be said in poems
Mills, I need to hear your take on Sam Altman (in particular) submitting his visage to be exploited by the masses. My initial reaction was that it's super clever on a number of levels (mindshare, softening Sam's image, appealing way to test drive Sora). But I also get the creeps from it. Like, it seems almost distasteful to submit one's visage to the whims of innumerable strangers?? Has this sacrificial element, putting something of your soul into your product to power it.
Pete! Long time man! He’d have to have a soul! I shouldn’t even joke like that, I’m sure he does; but I’m also sure I cannot begin to model his mind or his context at all, the ways he makes decisions, the inputs and possibilities for him, etc. I assume he (correctly) suspected his face would be a shared touchstone for early users, a way to pump prime a lingua franca / memeplex for the platform. CEOs increasingly use themselves as symbols for business purposes in a way that seems periodically effective, if as you note totally demented!

Think about it this way, mills: photoshop may have revolutionized image editing but the snapchat dog filter did not
This is pure ðŸ“
Lots of dog content on Sora. Been fun for a few days, now already checking it a lot less

Great read and I love this software as event thesis. That makes a lot of sense.
How easily you break ranks from the Red Vines infowar cause!
